Cookies.

A short explanation, the full policy, and the controls to choose what we get to use — all on this page.

Cookie policy

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that websites place on your device to store information. They're a normal part of how the web works — they remember your preferences, keep sessions alive, and let sites understand how their content is used. Some cookies are strictly necessary for a site to function; others are optional, and that's where consent comes in. The same logic applies to similar technologies like local storage, session storage, and small browser-side identifiers; legally and practically, they're treated as cookies on this page.

How we use cookies

We keep this short. We use cookies and equivalent technologies to keep the site working, to remember the consent decision you make on this page, and — only if you allow it — to gather anonymous, aggregated statistics about how the site is used. We don't run advertising, we don't build user profiles, and we don't share your data with third parties for marketing purposes. The categories listed in your preferences below let you decide what we get to use.

What we currently set

Functional storage keeps the site usable: the cookie consent decision itself is stored locally on your device under the key cevio:cookie-consent so the banner doesn't reappear on every visit. The only optional category we actively use is Statistics — anonymous, aggregated visitor counts collected via our own analytics endpoint at cevioworkspace.at. We don't load tracking pixels, third-party advertising tags, or cross-site identifiers. Preferences and Marketing are listed for transparency; we don't set anything in those categories today, but they're presented so your consent record matches the full set of options.

Categories at a glance

  • Functional — strictly necessary for the site to work. Always active.
  • Preferences — storing preferences you didn't explicitly request.
  • Statistics — anonymous, aggregated usage measurement.
  • Marketing — profiling for advertising or cross-site tracking.

Your rights

Under the GDPR (EU 2016/679) and the Austrian TKG / German TTDSG, your consent is voluntary, specific, informed, and revocable. You can withdraw or change it at any time on this page — the change applies immediately and we'll stop loading optional scripts. You can also clear cookies through your browser settings, request access to or deletion of any personal data we hold, and lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority in your country (in Austria: Datenschutzbehörde; in Germany: the data protection authority of your state).

Managing cookies in your browser

Beyond the controls below, every modern browser lets you view, restrict, or delete cookies in its settings. Search "cookies" in the settings of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge to find the relevant page. Blocking strictly-necessary cookies will break parts of this site — including the consent record itself, which means the banner will keep reappearing.

Changes to this policy

If our use of cookies changes in a way that materially affects what we collect, we update this page and bump the consent record version. When that happens, the banner reappears so you can review and re-confirm your choice. Minor wording fixes don't trigger a re-prompt.
